Working as part of the high net worth insurance department the Underwriter is responsible for the Fine Art, Jewellery, Classic Cars and High Value Household business lines, the Underwriter primarily provides an outstanding underwriting service, offering a wide range of carefully researched products, across an assigned portfolio of High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth individuals - based globally.
You will be responsible for developing and growing a profitable portfolio of business, building effective relationships with key customers, handling technical enquiries and developing/maintaining long term relationships with a select group of specialist brokers.
You can expect to be involved in the marketing of products and loss prevention engineering services, risk selection, rating and pricing, capacity commitment, policy construction, loss control needs and ongoing account management.
Finally you will be expected to pass on you experience and can to be involved in the coaching/training members of staff.
To be considered for the Underwriter position you will have at least five years Underwriting experience and must have (and be able to demonstrate) excellent interpersonal/communication skills and be a polished performer.
