Working as part of the client relationship management team, the Insurance Accountant offers advice on accounting issues and insurance programmes.
Your client team will be made up of an insurer, an insurance and accounts administrator and the accountant (you). Your team will be further supported through the ancillary services of the Compliance Team including a Money Laundering Reporting Officer and a Company Secretarial Team.
As your teams Insurance Accountant you can expect to be tasked with the preparation of your clients management and financial accountants, as well as experience preparing their statutory returns.
You can also expect to be asked to prepare audit schedules and your take the management of that audit.
To be considered for the Insurance Accountant role you need to be a qualified accountant, comfortable in your technical insurance proficiency and you will have some supervisory experience.
It is expected you will have at least three years insurance experience, if not in the captives market, from Life or re-insurance. Candidates with offshore captive insurance experience will be favoured.
