This rapidly expanding Captive insurance manager and re-insurance house is urgently seeking a dynamic Business Development Director to drive business forward on a global level.
Reporting in to the Managing Director, the Business Development Director will be responsible for the strategic global development of insurance products and their distribution through the companies global markets.
To succeed at that the Business Development Director will have to undertake the management of the distribution framework which already includes the ground breaking products and derivatives. The management of the traditional broker distribution channels. Coupled with that you will have to recruit and develop a business support team. Besides these duties you will keep the board informed of market conditions and, for example, prepare the market intelligence reports.
Finally as Business Development Director you are a key member of the Pricing and Analysis Committee, taking the responsibility for product profitability.
To be considered for the Business Development Director position you will need at least a decades worth of experience in the insurance industry, preferably with a general insurance background.
The candidate should possess degree level education and an ACII qualification would be an advantage. The role will be based in Gibraltar with regular travel overseas required.
