This international asset management practice, part of a global banking giant, is looking to recruit a Head of Asset Management to work within the external asset manager’s team in their fund solutions department.
The bank is a key player amongst international banks within independent asset and fund managers – both offshore and onshore. To further develop this business they are seeking for a talented fund professional to assume the leadership of the External Asset Management (EAM) business as well as the EAM fund solution business in Luxembourg.
This is a well paid high profile offshore fund job with strategic responsibility for the development of the business with the independent asset manager industry within Luxembourg.
As a senior executive job it is a leadership role with management responsibilities over a strongly growing and highly committed team. One of the core duties of the Head of Asset Management is to lead and undertake the acquisition and business development drives with existing and new prospect fund management companies in Luxembourg and the rest of the EU. Coupled with that you will be asked to undertake further development of the existing business portfolio with EAM's in the relevant markets.
Finally in the senior Luxembourg fund job you must ensure the bank always has a leading edge value proposition for independent asset managers. This is viewed as mission critical with in the bank as it serves as an excellent basis for the accomplishment of the market growth strategy.
For real consideration for the Head of Asset Management vacancy you must display not only that you are a highly entrepreneurial individual with strong management and leadership skills, but that you have already delivered proven success in a sales or advisory function in a fund external asset manager business or institutional banking business (e.g. global custody).
This proven expertise in fund service business will be demonstrated at interview. If you already have an existing network amongst the Luxembourg and European fund management community – that would be beneficial.
Finally you should have excellent command of English and possibly German. Further languages like French and / or a Scandinavian language would be an asset.
The Head of Asset Management as you would expect commands the king of salary, bonus, benefits and remuneration package to attract the very best of existing fund professionals.
