This well renowned international fund management company, who have recently opened a new office in Zurich, are looking to add a skilled Fund Compliance Officer to their ranks.
The Fund Compliance Officer main responsibility is to manage the regulatory affairs of the fund within the Swiss jurisdiction and have an involvement in other jurisdictions (European and Far Eastern).
In this well paid Swiss job you will be responsible for general compliance duties with a focus of your role being both the ongoing Compliance monitoring / reporting and the review, revision and maintenance of the Compliance policies.
Finally you will undertake the management of all licensing requirements and interact on a daily basis with the Fund Managers and Fund principals. This is an extremely exciting opportunity which requires the individual to transform, evolve and create; this is not a pure maintenance role.
It is expected the successful applicant for Fund Compliance Officer vacancy will have several years experience with in a Compliance job at a hedge fund. Although exceptional applicants with first rate regulatory document reviewing skills and a solely legal background will be considered.
The successful candidate will probably have a strong transactional hedge fund legal background: fund formation, covered employment agreements and be able to communicate well with senior business thought leaders.
As Fund Compliance Officer you will be expected to be able to demonstrate knowledge of the Swiss fund industry regulatory environment and specific knowledge of day-to-day operations of a hedge fund including ability to review hedge fund offering materials and sales literature.
It would be beneficial if you have exposure to both traditional UCITS and alternative fund structures.
