Job Specification

This international property development company are currently bucking the trend by posting growth, increasing sales and looking to float. To reflect this expansion they are looking to recruit a Financial Controller for their Gibraltar offshore office.

Whilst this accountancy job is titled Financial Controller, it a varied, hands-on job in a truly entrepreneurial, go getting environment. Therefore dynamism and personality will be taken in to account.

The Financial Controller reports to the CFO and will provide support on commercial decisions to both him and the company founder and Chairman.

On a daily basis in this well paid Gibraltar job you can expect to be responsible for the day to day running of the Gibraltar finance department. Your key responsibilities will include cash-flow modelling and forecasting, production of monthly management accounts, budgeting and forecasting, conducting variance analysis from budgets in sales & cash flow and seeking cost/expense reduction opportunities, statutory accounting, elements of Insurance management, preparing reports required by regulatory agencies and Tax management.

Alongside the CFO you will be involved in delivering all management financial information to the board and take ownership of accounting matters for him.

Finally you can expect from time to time to be involved in ad hoc special projects, for example about liquidity or updating the business continuity plan.

To be considered for the Financial Controller vacancy you should be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA etc), be highly commercial with strong financial reporting skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
