CEO – Gibraltar Job – Offshore Finance

Job Specification
This international resort developer and leading provider of investment properties is looking to recruit a CEO to take the business forward to floatation.

The company has benefited from the "hands on" leadership of an active Chairman and is sufficiently resourced to complete its existing projects and finance further expansion.

The Group now wishes to build upon it previous success and grow in other significant regions such as Scandinavia and Northern Europe. IPO in the next five years is a strong possibility and therefore both CEO should have proven listed company experience and completed such a project in the past.

Based in Gibraltar and sitting on the board, the CEO reports solely to the Chairman. The CEO job can be split down into five main areas of responsibility.

The first of these revolves around business planning. The Chairman hopes to take on more of an active figurehead role and hand over day to day strategic planning to the CEO. As such the successful applicant for the CEO job will have to collaborate with the board to define and articulate the organization’s vision and to develop strategies for achieving that vision. Based on this activity you will create annual operating plans that support the strategic direction set by the board and correlate with annual operating budgets.

In this well paid Gibraltar job you will have responsibility for developing and monitoring strategies for ensuring the long-term financial viability of the organization. Coupled with that will be looking with in the organization to create future leadership. You will be expected to plan, execute and deliver the stock market floatation of this company.

The CEO will also have many duties around the management of the company. You will oversee the operations of the organization and manages its compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

It is expected you will create and maintain procedures for implementing plans approved by the board of directors and promote a culture that reflects rewards productivity and results. As such the recruitment, management of the human resources department falls into your remit.

As CEO you will take overall responsibility for the financial management and help staff in developing annual budgets that support operating plans. It is expected you will prudently manage the organization's resources within budget guidelines and ensure that staff practices all appropriate accounting procedures.

Lastly you will provide prompt, thorough, and accurate information to keep the board appropriately informed of the organization’s financial position.

It will also fall with in your remit to take overall charge of the company’s public image and perception. You will be the public face of the group and become an active advocate for the organisation and ensure its mission, programs, and services are consistently presented in a strong, positive image to relevant stakeholders.

To be considered for the CEO vacancy you should have a proven track record in business management, planning and financial oversight.

A key area you will need to display prior experience in the preparation of the company for IPO – indeed the Chairman would the successful applicant to lead that initiative.

Within your senior management experience you will have a minimum of five years of experience in personnel management, including hiring, supervision, evaluation and benefits administration. It is also expected you will be a proven and tested board contributor and leader.

The company is willing to deliver what is necessary in terms of a remuneration package to ensure the right individual becomes CEO.
